The destination for the trip is the magnificent viewpoint Ørnesvingen, but the road to get there is an equally great experience. You start in the center of Geiranger and follow the road along the fjord before setting off up the exciting Ørnevegen and through eleven hairpin turns towards the goal.
From Ørnesvingen, you will have a free view across the fjord towards the small fjord farm Knivsflå and the magnificent waterfalls The seven sisters, who throw themselves in a free fall of 300 metres towards the fjord. If you walk a few minutes further from Ørnesvingen, you will find the Unesco plaque and a path leading to another beautiful vantage point, a little away from the traffic. Maybe a small rest here would be appropriate, to really "feel" the view and the eternal fjord.
