The pond is elongated (333 m.a.s.l.). The name comes from the mountain Helgehornet that lies a few hundres meters ahead north.
The easiest path goes from Sunndalen, where you can follow a tractor trail that goes east by Grupsehausen. Another alternative path would be from Hellebust where there's also a tractor trail almost the whole way towards the pond.
