Fuglestein Fruit Farm is located in a historic area of Jelsa. On the farm there is a burial ground from the Iron Age, with at least six burial mounds and two memorial stones, and Ørnahaugen towers above it all. Silver rings and wooden knives have been found in the area.

Fruit has been grown at Fuglestein Fruktgard, 70 masl, for generations. The first apple orchard they know of dates back to 1838. On the farm, which is sheltered and south-facing near the sea, they have planted 17,000 new fruit trees.

Fuglestein Fruktgard produces apple cider, apple juice and apple jelly. The products are sold in the farm shop and at LOMA – Lokalmat Ryfylke in Sand.
