Inga and Marit welcome you to Henjatunet

Eggjagarden is one of six farmsteads comprising this hamlet. Our family farm is based on sheep and orchards in addition to tourism.  We offer interpretive tours, concentrating on historical aspects of everyday life in this hamlet, as well as contemporary farming practice. We wander along Viking-period grave mounds or stroll through orchards while enjoying a splendid view of the majestic Sognefjorden. At the same time we are passing on exciting tales from bygone days and our own time. These interpretive rounds include a taste of our locally produced cider, along with the tasty traditional local snack "vestlandslefsa".

All types of meals are served to private groups in Eggjastova, a building erected in 1765. Our raw materials are produced locally, and – as far as possible – organically grown. Traditional meals are prepared in a modern culinary context. We are fully licensed to serve all types of beverages. Whenever need be, we can present tailor-made arrangements and activities according to the wishes of our guests.

During the season, we offer products from our orchards for sale – apples, pears and plums – in standard boxes or by weight. Drop in for a quick taste! In addition, we sell fruit juices, either ready made, or for you to do the pressing yourself!

You are invited to visit Henjatunet, which has welcomed guests to a memorable experience since 1990.

We welcome you to taste our locally produced beverages while enjoying magical moments encircled by mountains, high above Sognefjorden.
