Vinjum made his debut as a 24-year-old at the autumn exhibition in Oslo in 1954 and received promising reviews. In addition, he sold one of his works. But only over 20 years later did Johannes Vinjum show a larger presentation of his work in public, and then in 2 separate exhibitions at the same time. In 1978 he exhibited drawings in Gallery K and paintings in the Artists' Association, both in Oslo. The exhibitions were one great success - and in 1984 he experienced being a festival exhibitor in Bergen. Johannes Vinjum passed away in 1991 - well over 60 years old. Monet, light and air, sensing and experience were key keywords for the artist. Motifs he held on to all his life were the childhood fjord and mountain landscape, person and child faces and above all children in birthday parties. The gallery can be found in Heradshuset - In the summer extend opening hours.
