Get to know the poet Jakob Sande and the headteacher and folklore collector Nikka Vonen better. The Jakob Sande - center of narrative arts is also the epicentre of the Fjord Coast Regional and Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark, and shares stories from across the entire park area.
Visit the Jakob Sande center of narrative arts this summer
This year’s summer season runs from 20 June to 9 August. During this period, summer hosts will be present at the Old Schoolhouse from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–16:00. Guided tours are offered Tuesday to Friday at 13:00, including a walk through Klokkargarden and Steia Gard.
In the Old Schoolhouse, you can purchase literature by and about the poet, as well as products featuring quotes and illustrations inspired by Jakob Sande and Nikka Vonen. In Bestefarstaua you will find the summer exhibition, and cultural events take place in the Barn (Løa). Please visit the Jakob Sande Centre’s website for updated information about events.
