Jonestølen in Sauda

Turn off the Fv 520 road, at the sign for Hustveit, and drive 500 metres to the car park. The walk takes you past the museum buildings at Jonegarden. Keep walking 200 metres past the barn, and follow the signs to your left. There is a steep ascent on an old tractor road from there, which, after a while, turns into a path. You then pass the barn, Eikelauvet, which was restored in 2014. Walk across the bridge that crosses the mouth of Vårstølvatnet lake. You will soon see the beautiful Gofarskjeggfossen waterfall to your left. Keep walking up the somewhat steep Øykjakleiva, and on in easy terrain along the river to Jonestølen summer pasture farm.
