About the trail Jonstøl is a joint summer pasture farm for several farmers. As a general rule, the mountain farms were in use from Midsummer (June 24th) until a week before Michaelmas (September 29th). Jonstøl was used as a mountain farm in the traditional way until 1952. These days, mainly sheep are taken up the mountainous area to graze during the summer. The farmers visit Jonstøl several times throughout the season to look after their animals. The track has some steep parts on up through Sæberg valley.
