Drive to the centre of Årdal, follow the signs to Dalane and Eventyrskogen and drive to the top of Bønardalen. The walk starts at the car park at Røgle. The section up Valheimsskaret ravine and up to Valheimsstølen summer pasture farm is steep. On the hillside north of Lomslidtjødnane tarns, two long, narrow rocks have been erected, leaning against each other in memory of a man who was squashed to death between two rocks. Faksafjellet mountain is the highest point on the round trip.
