Just 8 kilometres from Kristiansund town centre lies a full 9-hole course set in maritime surroundings. The course plays to a par of 33 and measures roughly 1,300 to 1,600 metres, depending on which tee you play from. The terrain is hilly, and the round itself becomes a nature experience in its own right. Narrow fairways and well-placed bunkers give the course enough technical challenge to test experienced players, while beginners still find their footing in the varied terrain.
Coaching and activities for every level
The club offers beginner courses, and a golf pro provides one-to-one coaching if you want to sharpen your technique. The driving range, putting green and short-game area let you warm up before your round, and in winter you can keep playing on the club's golf simulator (Trackman) at AlbaGolf. Set at the foot of Kvernberget mountain, the course has a special atmosphere, where you play amid scenic natural surroundings while staying close to the sea and the fresh coastal air.
A community built on voluntary effort
The golf club is closely tied to the local community. The course was built, and is largely maintained, through voluntary work by its members, and throughout the season the club also hosts its own tournaments, drawing both local players and visitors from near and far. The club is also committed to inclusion, among other things through ESAG, a weekly training programme where golf is used as a tool for building confidence and community, regardless of experience or background.
