On this tour the scenery shifts from city waterfront to steep mountainsides, where narrow valleys and towering cliffs frame the water like a natural corridor.
Before departure, we’ll meet at our office at Strandkaien 16 in central Bergen where all participants are equipped with warm floatation suits, life jackets, ski goggles, gloves, and hats — everything you need to enjoy the experience in any weather, before we'll be guided to the boat along the quay.
As we set off, we slow down at selected points to enjoy views of Old Bergen from the sea, a different perspective of the city’s history and shoreline. Further out, we’ll pass beneath the Nordhordland Bridge, a local engineering landmark, before continuing deeper into the fjord landscape.
This is where a RIB really shines: we can get close to the scenery, trace the contours of the coastline, and enjoy photo-friendly slow-downs when the views open up.
Onboard, we’ll get a mix of commentary, the captain sharing local insights at key points, and an audio guide in English playing over the speakers between highlights. This way you can alternate between listening and simply taking in the atmosphere.
The grand finale is Mostraumen: a dramatic, narrow fjord strait surrounded by steep mountains and striking rock formations. After plenty of time to absorb the scenery and capture photos, you’ll return to Bergen with the feeling that you didn’t just see the fjords, you experienced them.
