Itinerary:
The tour usually start at 9:00. The driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Bergen city center.
The journey begins out of Bergen toward the magnificent Hardangerfjord, with plenty of opportunities at various stops to capture the perfect photo from your holiday in Norway.
Stops along the way:
FOSSEN BRATTE:
A waterfall located a short distance from the main road, providing an opportunity to get out of the car and take nice pictures.
The route continues toward Hardangerfjord, passing through the area known as Kvamskogen, a recreational area where many people have cabins and enjoy skiing in the winter. After passing Kvamskogen, the descent begins toward the village of Norheimsund.
STEINDSALSFOSSEN:
This impressive waterfall has a path that leads from the parking lot up to the base of the falls. The path actually goes behind the waterfall itself, allowing visitors to stand just two meters away from the cascading water—a unique experience.
The journey proceeds toward Hardangerfjord, passing the villages of Norheimsund and Øystese. From Norheimsund onward, the spectacular Hardangerfjord will be visible on the right-hand side while following the road toward the village of Granvin.
STEINSTØ: (Seasonal stop, the road is not open in winter)
A short stop at the Steinstø fruit and cake sale. This is an opportunity to buy locally produced fruit from the Steinstø fruit farm in Hardanger. After a brief stop, the tour continues for another 4-5 minutes along the fjord.
HARDANGERFJORD:
A viewpoint along the fjord offers a chance to stop for a while at a beautiful overlook, providing an great opportunity for some nice photos. The journey continues towards the village of Granvin, before turning west towards Voss.
SKJERVFOSSEN: (Seasonal stop,the road is not open in winter)
A detour from the main road leads along a narrow and winding route to Skjervet, where a stop will be made at Skjervfossen. Depending on traffic, it may be possible to stop in the middle of the road and let the water spray from the waterfall wash the car.
VOSS:
The tour continues toward Voss, where the driver will stop for approximately one hour. This free time allows you to explore Voss, with its small shops, restaurants, cafes, Voss Gondola, and the beautiful stone church. It is a great opportunity to grab a bite to eat or simply wander around the village.
After Voss, we start the journey back to Bergen. This takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sit back, relax, and take in the day's impressions. There are toilets available at both Fossen Bratte, Steinsdalsfossen, the viewpoint along Hardangerfjord, and in Voss.
