Fremad II is one of the oldest vessels in the Norwegian fishing fleet. The wooden boat was built in Lowestoft in England in 1888. It originally had sails, but now it has a 14 liter Scania engine.
The boat was taken out of ordinary fishing in 2007. It was protected by the National Antiquities in 2009 and restored at the Hardanger Ship Conservation Center from 2016 to 2022.
The boat has room for 12 passengers.
Fremad II offers fishing trips and sightseeing in the Ryfylke Basin for groups on request.
Fishing trips summer 2026
Fremad II arranges fishing trips in our Beautiful fjords. Tours can be Booked for Wednesday and Friday. Starting at 11:00 and last for 3 or 4 Hours. Fishing equipments are available on the vessel.
