A Piece of Maritime History
As her name suggests, Sylfiden is sleek and elegant, often referred to as the “ballerina of the fjords”. She is a one-of-a-kind luxury yacht, built in mahogany in 1911, designed by Carl Gustaf Pettersson (1876–1953).
Pettersson was a renowned Swedish boat and vessel designer, responsible for over 1,000 boats, mainly recreational crafts. He is particularly known for developing the iconic “Pettersson boat”, a design that has become a hallmark of Scandinavian boatbuilding.
