The first bulbs were planted by the priest Alexander Borck as early as the 18th century. He brought the bulbs with him on a pilgrimage. Since then, the flowers have spread to become a sea of daffodils. When they are in full bloom, you can not help but notice them as you drive up from the ferry quay.
