Skiing
In Suldal you find over 70 km worth of ski trails in the mountains suitable for every type of skier, from the beginner to the expert.
From the three main ski trail networks you can access mountain tops with stunning scenery, majestic landscape with snow as far as the eye can reach and popular round tours perfect for the family. There are also lighted trails for those who not want to end the day when the sun goes down and children trails for the little ones.
Winter activities
In winter, special snow play zones are developed in the mountains which offers the perfect base for a day in the mountains. Here you can challenge the family in ski jumps and more.
Downhill skiing
Suldal has its own downhill ski resort that offers ski rentals, winter camping, and a warm place to rest. The lifts at the ski resort open as soon as there is snow cover and are open as long as conditions allow. There are different kinds of lifts, and three downhill tracks where the difference in altitude reaches 175 meters.
Health and wellness
Located on a hilltop with a beautiful view of the fjord you will find Suldal Bath, which is the communal bath in the county. Here you find a heated outdoor hot tub, climbing wall, slides, sauna and much more. You can also rent fire-heated hot tubs with views of the Suldaldsvatnet lake or Suldalslågen river.
Christmas market & activities
In December you will find a range of local Christmas activities in Suldal. In Sand there are local markets on selected days where you will find local food and products from the region. You can also attend Christmas carols, happenings and events.
