Åndalsnes Camping is a large, modern campsite located close to various activities like golf, Romsdalseggen, fishing, and great hiking opportunities. Situated beautifully by the Rauma River, the area is family-friendly with nearby swimming spots. The campsite offers canoe and boat rentals.
With plenty of space for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, it also offers cabins, apartments, and rooms with good standards. The reception building includes a small café.
Enjoy peaceful days in stunning nature, perhaps combined with a bike ride, SUP boarding on the Rauma or Istra rivers, or a delightful canoe trip. We rent out SUP boards, canoes, bikes, and the necessary gear (dry suits/wetsuits not included). There are also excellent fishing opportunities in the fjord and mountain lakes. The campsite has a lovely beach for swimming.
The campsite offers many nearby activities, whether you're seeking an active holiday or just wish to relax in beautiful nature. It’s the perfect base for a family vacation. The High & Low climbing park in Bjorli is just 45 minutes by car through the beautiful Romsdalen.
The central location makes it an ideal starting point for day trips to Geiranger, the Atlantic Road, Ålesund, or if you'd like to explore the islands in the coastal gap, or visit Mardalsfossen in beautiful Eikesdalen.
