Close to nature and close to town
If you’re looking for a campsite that’s close to the town centre but also shielded from the noise of traffic, then check out Haraldshaugen Camping. This large, spacious campsite is situated right by the sea and is close to Haraldshaugen – Norway's only national monument, which was erected to commemorate the unification of Norway by Harald Fairhair.
Close to a grocery shop and the centre of town
The campsite is just two kilometres from the centre of Haugesund, 300 metres from a grocery shop and only 400 metres from the nearest bus stop.
Self-service off-season solution
The campsite is open all year round, has excellent capacity for motor homes and caravans, with electricity, common areas and sanitary facilities.
Certain services are not available from November to March.
The campsite also has family cabins with showers and toilets.

Hiking trails and swimming
The campsite is situated in exceptionally scenic surroundings and is close to the town’s most popular hiking trail. The Coastal Path (Kyststien) leads to Kvalen Lighthouse, Kvalsvik and The Rising Tide sculptures. Kvalsvik is a popular swimming spot and has tables, barbecues and changing rooms.
Historical location
Right next to the campsite is Krosshaugen. The cross at Krosshaugen, erected in memory of Harald Fairhair's son Eric Bloodaxe in around the year 1000, symbolises Norway's conversion to Christianity. The area surrounding Haraldshaugen Camping is steeped in history from the Viking Age and World War II.
