Lunde Turiststasjon has been in operation since the late 1800s and is beautifully located beneath the Lundebreen glacier, surrounded by steep, majestic mountains with a stunning view of the Kjøsnesfjord.

Open all year round, Lunde Turiststasjon offers 36 beds spread across cabins, rooms, and apartments. You can rent a kayak, canoe, SUP board or boat here. Down by the water, there is a scenic lean-to shelter (gapahuk) available for guests.

Fishing rods are available for hire, and you can also purchase fishing and hunting licences, postcards, and hot or cold drinks. On the farm, there is a photo gallery featuring a camera exhibition.

An overnight stay at Lunde is a great starting point for trout fishing in Jølstravatnet, mountain hikes in the area, and visits to the many museums and galleries in Jølster – such as Astruptunet, Eikåsgalleriet and the Jølster Museum. It’s also just a short drive to the Norwegian Glacier Museum and the Norwegian Book Town in Fjærland.
