Many people associate Uskedalen with climbing. The steep mountainsides plunging down towards Uskedalen form an attractive climbing area, with routes of all difficulties, on solid granite.
It’s not without reason that the slogan of the Festidalen Festival, which is held over several days in June every year, is rock, mountains, love.
It’s easy to fall in love with the village, and many people return year after year. Many people have found their paradise in places like the Rabben Feriesenter cabins and campsite, or Dønhaug Gjestegard bed and breakfast.
There are two great marinas here, a beach and a charming village centre with shops including a grocery store.
Uskedalen is also the starting point for a range of spectacular and beautiful hiking trails.
