The Preikestolen plateau towers 600 metres above the Lysefjord in Rogaland. The walk to Preikestolen takes about two hours for those who are used to walking in rough terrain. For children and walkers who have little or no experience with walking, the trip will take longer. It is from three to four kilometres to walk one way with a height difference of 350 metres.
Remember mountain shoes, warm clothes, packed lunch and drink. More departures in the period May-September.
