Letter workshop

Make your own letter – and give it a tail, a snout or wings! In the workshop, we make letter animals and imaginative creatures. You can also meet us at the Smaksfesten food festival in Sola town centre.

Grandparents' Day

Welcome to a day full of fun and experiences for young and old alike – in collaboration with Den kulturelle spaserstokken!

Performance with Skromlehjulet puppet theatre at 12:00 and 14:00 – free tickets can be booked at solakulturhus.no. Free tickets will be available on Monday at 9 a.m. on the week of the event.

The library will host a hobby workshop and activities that are guaranteed to spark creativity across generations. No ticket is required – just come as you are and join in the fun!

Join us in celebrating Moomintroll! This year marks the 80th anniversary of Tove Jansson's first book about Moomintroll. We will be celebrating with readings, games and a craft workshop.

The event is part of Culture Night in Sola.

What do you do when you're bored? Say hello to Albert the little mouse, who has far too little to do – until his imagination takes him on a magical adventure. Vibeke Høie, author and illustrator, will read aloud from her latest book. Afterwards, there will be time for chatting and drawing.

Rot and Bjørne

Meet two friends with completely different personalities! Rot and Bjørne are best friends. But with two completely different personalities, it's not always easy to agree. What happens when Bjørne wants to tidy up his toys and go to bed, while Rot wants to play more and tidy up tomorrow? Listen to author and illustrator Hege Østmo-Sæter Olsnes read aloud from the books.

There will be drawing for and with the children. And maybe Rot or Bjørne will show up too?
