Andreas Siem is releasing his debut album on 20 February and, to mark the occasion, invites you to a concert and full album listening session at Statsraaden Bar & Reception.
Siem is a project that focuses on the timeless, the organic, the philosophical and the nostalgic. The songs blend 1970s folk with 1990s Britpop, with acoustic guitar and vocals at the core, lifted by soaring pedal steel and slide guitar. Lyrics about love, memories and nostalgia invite the listener to reminisce about a bygone time — or perhaps a feeling they didn’t know they had.
Frontman Andreas Siem is a familiar figure from collaborations with other Bergen artists such as Michelle Ullestad, Markella and Of All Things. After several years as a musician in other projects, he is now cultivating his own artistic vision, stepping forward as both songwriter and front figure.
