The manager at the nursing home in Orkdal, Arnfinn Nesset, was convicted in 1983 for the murder of 22 elderly patients at the nursing home. The case shocked the entire local community and became a highly publicised murder case in Norway. Nesset initially admitted to the killings but retracted his confessions before the trial. What happened remains a mystery: why would Nesset want to kill all these people?

The book The Unlikely Serial Killer: Arnfinn Nesset and His 31 Confessions by author Simen Sætre is an attempt to solve the mystery. Adresseavisen gave the book a six out of six rating, writing that it does not get better than this in documentary literature.

Simen Sætre will be visiting the library to present the case, explain how he worked on it, and share what he has discovered.
