The 365-metre-long Herring Table will be held in the middle of the city's main street: Haraldsgata. The event starts at 11am, and you can try many types of herring for free! Herring cakes, herring in dressing, bread, potatoes and more will be served. This is a popular and traditional event, and several tonnes of herring are served on this day.
The event is organised by the Norwegian Chefs' Association Haugalandet, and they look forward to welcoming you to the World's Longest Herring Table.
