In the village Trandal, in the middle of Hjørundfjorden, there's about six inhabitants. Here you will find the charming inn Christian Gaard Bygdetun. In the late ninties the old farm was restored and remade into a an inn. The colorful founder Frank Storeide had a king's thought about creating a livelihood to "milk tourists rather than goats", as he said himself.

The capacity of the inn is 25 times bigger than the amount of inhabitants in the village and is well visited by local and national heroes, like Magne Furuholem (A-ha) and business man Kjell Inge Røkke.

Trandal has no road access to the outer world, and all access has to go through water, by ferry or boat. Still there are regular concerts and festivals in the village, like the Country Festival and Trandal Blues.

A visit at Trandal is a guaranteed memory for life!
