Haraldsvang is not only a popular hiking area, but also has an area for swimming that boasts a diving tower and a playground. Haraldsvang is about a 30-minute walk from the centre of Haugesund.

Visit Byparken town park north of the town centre

On the way to Haraldsvang, it's worth visiting the town park to the north of the town centre. The pavilion in the park was designed by the architect Einar Halleland and was completed in 1912.

Meet the very own Harald Fairhair

Harald Fairhair, the king who unified Norway into one kingdom, stands at Havnaberg gazing across the strait. The statue is a popular place to take photos and is well worth a stop on your journey.

Vangenterassen is a café in the middle of Haraldsvang that serves food, drinks and ice cream on fine summer days. The cafe opens sporadically throughout the year, so check their Facebook page for opening hours.
