Quality Hotel Maritim

Quality Hotel Maritim is Haugesund's largest conference hotel with 311 rooms. They have extensive experience in organising conferences and other events. Maritim Hall is the hotel's largest venue with a capacity of 870 people and a total area of 578 m². The foyer is an additional 379 m². It is possible to divide Maritim Hall into two larger halls, and the hotel has 19 meeting rooms. For larger events, it is possible to set up a tent outside the entrance as an extra exhibition area.

The hotel offers lunch and dinner capacity for 870 and has several good restaurants. The premises were refurbished and upgraded in 2024/2025, are ISO 14001 certified, an apprentice company and supports a number of local teams and associations.

Edda Cinema

Edda Cinema in Haugesund centre hires out comfortable auditoriums for meetings, courses, conferences and customer presentations, with the state-of-the-art technical equipment and skilled, committed staff. 7 different high comfort auditoriums provide several options when it comes to number of seats and requirements. The capacity per auditorium is from 18 seats to 324 seats with side tables and charging fasilites. Edda is Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn) certified and also certified to have green conferences (meaning they can meet a certain set of green criterias).

Festiviteten theatre and concert hall

Festiviteten offers an array of possibilities for large events. It is situated close to the town hall square in the centre of Haugesund. The main stage has fixed seating with capacity for 510 people. Also included are the foyer – which can be used as an area for mingling – as well as conference hosts, technicians and lighting/sound. The theatre cafe stage has capacity for up to 600 people. It can be used for meetings, seminars, fairs, exhibitions, and conferences etc.

Byscenen Haugesund

Byscenen Haugesund is a versatile venue suitable for conferences, parties, Christmas dinners, concerts, and private gatherings. It features state-of-the-art sound and lighting and works with partners in all price ranges. They are happy to recommend catering, entertainment, and teambuilding activities such as quizzes, party games, “grab the mic,” karaoke, and more. A cozy backstage area is available for speakers.

Capacity: standing audience: 750, seated audience: 300, banquet setup: 10–160 people.

Tysværtunet Cultural Centre

Tysværtunet Cultural Centre has a number of meeting rooms and auditoriums of various sizes. Storsalen is the largest and has capacity for 380 people, with an option to divide the hall to accommodate 200 people. The cultural centre’s wonderful foyer, with its own gallery, is a great place for mingling or to use as part of a trade fair. LM Café Tysværtunet serves delicious food for events. The cultural house is situated in Aksdal in Tysvær municipality and has plenty of space for parking/bus transport. It takes about 15 minutes to drive from the centre of Haugesund.

Garasjebryggeriet brewery / Høvleriet

Garasjebryggeriet brewery/Høvleriet has rough and ready venues for every occasion and has maximum capacity of 500 people. The venues are excellent for concerts, meetings and gatherings, and can also be used for large conferences. It’s also possible to use the venue in combination with Quality Hotel Maritim, which is right next door.

Quality Hotel Martim is Haugesund’s largest conference hotel with 311 rooms and has extensive experience serving as a venue for conferences, gala dinners, meetings, sporting events, trade shows and much more. The Maritime Hall, with capacity for 870 people when used as an auditorium, is the largest conference room in Haugesund. The hotel can also accommodate the same number of people for lunch and dinner.

Area: 578 m2, foyer: 379 m2. It is also possible to set up a large tent for extra exhibition space. The hotel is ISO 14001 certified, an apprentice company and supports many local teams and associations. There are a total of 19 meeting rooms of various sizes, and it’s possible to start a conference in the Maritime Hall and then group attendees into different rooms.

Tysvær Arena

Tysvær Arena Haugesund Sparebank is a modern culture and sports arena with good facilities and access to meeting rooms. The arena is situated in Tysvær, about 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Haugesund. Transportation can be arranged to ferry attendees out to the arena, and there is plenty of space for parking and buses. The arena boasts over 2,000 square metres of floor space, providing an array of possibilities. It has 2,000 fixed seats (telescopic stand), but you can also use chairs (either instead or in addition to the stand). The approved capacity is 4,200 people. The arena’s acoustic panels provide excellent acoustics. Tysvær Arena has been used for fairs, conferences and other events, and the arena can also be used as a banquet hall.

Haugesund has the advantage of being a compact town with a good climate for cooperation between different actors. If desired, large events can be given real prominence in the town.
