Nostalgia and a homely atmosphere provide the perfect setting for your lunch visit in Stavanger.
Homemade cakes and sandwiches
No. 18 serves homemade cakes in perfect harmony with cakes from the local artisan bakery Buøy Konditori og Bakeri. Find your favourite chair and enjoy lunch with classic sandwiches and a good cup of Gullkant Kaffe. Until around 1970, the coffee was roasted and ground in the shop. Today, Rogaland Kaffehus supplies a replica of the coffee from the 1970s.
Afternoon Tea
No. 18 is the perfect setting for enjoying Afternoon Tea, which is served every day of the week (Monday to Saturday). Remember to book a table at least one day in advance. Here you can enjoy quality tea, classic sandwiches and scones, and delicious petits fours on a tiered cake stand.
The café in Hansenhuset — Stavanger's oldest house
No. 18 Kulturkafé and Skagen 18 are worth a visit when you come to Stavanger; history literally lives in the walls. If you are lucky, you will meet the general manager, Ellen Sæbbø Undset, who runs No 18 Kulturkafé and is also the Danish Honorary Consul in Stavanger. She is following in her father's footsteps and is the 5th-generation Danish consul in Stavanger.
