Jølstraholmen – A Family-Owned Business for Three Generations
Jølstraholmen has been family-owned for three generations, ever since 1962. Today, Jølstraholmen offers more than 120 beds spread across 28 different cabins, rooms, lodges, suites, and riverside “grindasuites” along the Jølstra River. In addition to accommodation, Jølstraholmen has a campsite where you can stay in a tent, motorhome or caravan.
Jølstraholmen Landscape Hotel
In 2025, Jølstraholmen launched a new concept: Jølstraholmen Landscape Hotel. In a restored 19th-century barn, you’ll find exclusive Grindasuites. Here, nature still takes centre stage – but the setting around it is brand new.
The hotel offers a unique mix of accommodations: the famous River Suites with panoramic views over the Jølstra River, exclusive suites in the old barn, spacious lodges, deluxe cabins and comfortable standard cabins.
In addition to accommodation, Jølstraholmen also offers a restaurant with a focus on local flavours, a fully licensed bar, modern meeting rooms for small and large gatherings, and an activity room with shuffleboard, board games and darts. There is also a dedicated room for yoga and fitness.
Facilities at Jølstraholmen
In addition to its new concept, Jølstraholmen offers a sauna with a natural pool, a large outdoor area with a wide range of activities, its own restaurant, and an activity room. Private sessions are available for both yoga and sauna rituals with a sauna master. Bicycles and e-bikes are available for rent, as well as single and double kayaks, SUP boards, and boat rental on Lake Jølster.
