The owner and skipper, Alf Sevild, runs the company together with his wife, Cille. They also manage Ådnøy Gård, a farm in the fjord where they grow herbs and vegetables. To preserve the cultural landscape shaped by generations of farmers before them, they keep 30 Viking sheep grazing the land.
In addition to this, Alf runs a youth project. Young people who have dropped out of upper secondary school (videregående) get practical work experience. From the base at the seahouse, they take part in all aspects of the business — from working as deckhands on Amica to helping care for the animals. No two days are the same, and both the youth and Alf enjoy the variety!
