The walk out to Ryvarden is on a wide gravel path from Mølstrevåg and is suitable for most people. From the car park at Mølstrevåg, the walk out to the lighthouse takes about 30 minutes. The walk to Ryvarden is exotic in all kinds of weather, and you get a real sense of the forces of nature. It is possible to rent the lighthouse keeper’s house and stay out at the ocean’s edge. At weekends, public holidays and in the summer, there are also exhibitions and a café at the lighthouse.
Ryvarden Lighthouse and Cultural Centre
Ryvarden Lighthouse and Cultural Centre is located in Sveio, about 30 minutes from the centre of Haugesund and about 50 minutes from Stord. As well as being a great destination for walks, you will find accommodation, a function room, café and gallery at Ryvarden.
