Car park by the information board. First 200 m on a tarmacked road, then on below
farmhouses and between the next farmhouse and barn.
Description of walk
There are routes up to Tysnessåta from all the villages on the island. This route, which starts in Dalen, is perhaps the most interesting. At Gjerstadstølen summer pasture farm, you will find høgd 333 (altitude 333 metres) on the right side of the path, where you can write your name in the logbook or take a break on the benches. From the summit, there are impressive views of Folgefonna glacier and the Kvinnheradsfjella mountains, the whole of Sunnhordland and the ocean to the west.
