History from the Viking Age
The history of the farm goes back to the Viking Age, when Martnadsletta was a marketplace where locals and visitors gathered for trade, social life, and competitions. Several burial cairns on the farm show that there has been activity here far back in time.

Deer safari
Experience red deer in their natural habitat. At Martnadsletta you can join guided tours and get close to these majestic animals. You’ll have the opportunity to pet, feed, and observe the deer.

For larger groups, it is possible to book a package that starts with a deer safari and ends with a delicious, locally sourced venison meal at the restaurant Bjartmars Favorittkro, located right by the Atlantic Road.

Other activities on the farm
Visitors can also get a glimpse of everyday farm life and learn about traditional farming. The farm is surrounded by idyllic scenery and lush nature.

During the summer season, a tented area offers food service and activities such as axe throwing, pony rides, campfire coffee, and grilling venison burgers. You can also buy tasty venison products to take home.

Accommodation
Overnight stays are also available on the farm. A cosy apartment is offered, suitable for couples or families with children. The apartment has two bedrooms and is fully equipped. See more information about farm accommodation at Martnadsletta.
