Which attractions are visited on this tour?

There are a total of 4 main stops on this tour, where you get to experience nature, history and culture:

  • Visnes - the copper used for the Statue of Liberty in New York is from the mines at Visnes. Today you can see a mini version of the statue and hear a story from the guide at the mines.
  • Åkrasanden - chalk-white, long beaches and crystal clear water. Perfect on a fine summer day, but also for walking all year round. Environmentally certified with the Blue Flag label.
  • Skudeneshavn - the old part of Skudeneshavn, Søragadå, with around 125 preserved wooden houses from the heyday of herring fishing. Here you can wander through the narrow, charming streets and take a break in one of the cosy cafés.
  • St Olav's Church at Avaldsnes - the medieval church at Avaldsnes built on a former pagan place of worship. Here you'll find one menhir from pre-Christian times. An important pilgrimage destination along the Coastal Pilgrimage Route.
