Join a thrilling fjord adventure into the spectacular Lysefjord. The trip begins gently from Stavanger harbour before the pace picks up and the boat heads out into the fjord at high speed. Along the way, you’ll pass through the varied landscape of islands, small communities, fish farms and holiday cabins before the scenery gradually changes to steep mountain slopes and mighty rock formations.
Highlights of the trip
Once deep inside Lysefjorden, you’ll get to experience several of the area’s most famous attractions. The tour includes a visit to the Vagabond's cave, where fascinating stories from times gone by are hidden. You’ll also see Preikestolen from the sea – the iconic rock ledge towering over the fjord – and hear the story behind the famous “Whiskey Falls”.
The boat offers plenty of opportunities to move around on board and take photos from different angles. The tour is conducted in small groups, providing a more comfortable and personal experience.
Practical information
In some cases, parts of the journey may be undertaken by minibus, for example, when weather conditions dictate or due to capacity constraints. This creates a combined tour where you can experience the fjord landscape from both the road and the sea, with stops at viewpoints and a journey through the world’s longest undersea tunnel.
