On Fløyen you feel as if you are cycling on top of the city. In some places you get a magnificent view over Bergen city and the islands outside. Cycle along the gravel paths into the forest and listen to the birds chirping.
Where can you cycle?
Recommended is among other things a cycling trip up to Rundemanen and Sandviksfjellet for a proper workout, or you can cruise around Skomakerdiket and in the lit trail for easier terrain. Fløyen's activity hosts provide good information and route tips on where you can cycle and where it is nice to cycle depending on your level.
The gravel paths on Fløyen are for both hikers and cyclists. You can cycle on gravel roads with the exception of the following stretches: Tippetue, Fløysvingene, Hestebergveien and Søre Kamvei. Always remember to show consideration for those on foot.
What types of bikes are available for hire?
There are hardtail mountain bikes available for hire, which are well suited for trail cycling on Fløyen, as well as junior bikes recommended for children from 10–12 years. The hire bikes for adults are available in various sizes. A helmet is compulsory and included in the hire price.

Rental of bicycles for Saturday and Sunday must be done by Friday at 10:00, for the coming weekend.
You rent the bike from Fløyen Aktiv, located close to the top station of the Fløibanen funicular.
