You travel by public transport to Hareid, with the high-speed ferry from Ålesund. And from there a coach to Runde Environmental Centre, where a knowledgeable nature guide welcomes you and takes you on a guided tour of the exhibitions.
Afterwards, you will watch "Silver of the Sea", a beautifully made nature documentary about the puffins and the ecosystem they are part of here on Runde. The visit concludes with dinner before continuing on to the bird cliffs. The walk up to the bird cliffs takes around 45 minutes.
Along the way there is plenty to see and experience, with several stops en route. Once at the cliffs, you will have ample time to sit back and enjoy the views and the remarkable seabirds. With a little luck, the evening may end with the sun setting into the sea while puffins circle overhead. After the walk, the coach returns you to the ferry terminal for the journey back to Ålesund.
