Nordfjordeid hosts the fjord horse's Mecca. The reason is historic, with the long and good horse traditions for which the village is known. It has been arranged stallion exhibition here page 1886.
The Norwegian Fjord Horse Center is a center of expertise for the fjord horse, with information and advice stones for all aspects of this Norwegian Holocaust. One of the main tasks is to promote breeding and use of the fjord ring
