Just outside the City of Bergen, you will find one of the most exotic attractions in the whole of Western Norway's archipelago. Cornelius is one of Norway's best seafood restaurants. It is situated right by the sea on a small island with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, skerries, and passing boats and ships.

On beautiful summer days, we open the sliding doors and set up tables on the quay, where we serve lighter dishes. When the weather is less favourable, we create a cosy atmosphere indoors and serve food with stronger flavours, and light a fire in the hearth and candles. Our meteorological menu is inspired by the weather of the day, the chef's mood and seafood in season. Prepared with innovative cooking techniques and a genuine passion for seafood. At Cornelius, it is the quality of the raw material that is in focus, and the menu changes daily according to the supply of raw materials. The meteorological menu usually consists of shellfish for starters, fish for main course and a seasonal dessert.

Meteorological shellfish tower incl. boat transport NOK 1695,- 

Are you a shellfish lover? For those of you who prefer shellfish, we recommend our meteorological shellfish tower. The raw materials on the tower vary in line with availability, examples can be o-shells, oysters, scallops, crayfish and more. Furthermore, we serve our signature dish, beach crab soup. Here, too, the tastes and the chef's adaptations are governed by mood, weather and wind. On a hot summer day, a lighter soup is served, while the chef is often generous with spices and chilli when the autumn storms are at their worst. Finally, we serve classics such as lobster, crayfish, shrimp, mussels and crab.

Departures: Experience a beautiful trip among the skerries, from Bryggen wharf in the City of Bergen to Holmen at Bjorøy. Regular departures at 18.00 from Dreggekaien quay on Bryggen (shed no 8) opposite Radisson Blu Royal Hotel and Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret. Return from Holmen at 22.30. The boat trip takes 25 minutes. Warm, safe boats take you there and back in comfort, regardless of the weather. Please contact us if you wish to charter a separate boat. A few days in the summer, there is an extra departure at. 19.00. Special needs: If you have any allergies or special needs we should know about, please specify this in the comments field when booking. Book at least 48 hours in advance for special needs.

Shellfish talk: For groups on request. Season: Available all year, but only some days and on request in January to March.
