Just outside the City of Bergen, you will find one of the most exotic attractions in the whole of Western Norway's archipelago. Cornelius is one of Norway's best seafood restaurants. It is situated right by the sea on a small island with spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, skerries, and passing boats and ships.

At Cornelius Seafood restaurant you can enjoy lunch or dinner.  Inspired by the weather of the day, Cornelius serves its famous Meteorological Menu of exquisite seafood and trimmings, prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood.   Cornelius is open all year. On beautiful summer days, we open the sliding doors and set up tables on the quay, where we serve lighter dishes. When the weather is less favourable, we create a cosy atmosphere indoors and serve food with stronger flavours, and light a fire in the hearth and candles. Every season – every day – offers unique and exciting culinary experiences on Holmen. Departures: Experience a beautiful trip among the skerries, from Bryggen wharf in the City of Bergen to Holmen at Bjorøy. Departure at 11.30 from Dreggekaien quay on Bryggen (shed no 8) opposite Radisson Blu Royal Hotel and Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret. Return from Holmen at 14.30. The boat trip takes 25 minutes. Warm, safe boats take you there and back in comfort, regardless of the weather. Please contact us if you wish to charter a separate boat.

Meteorological menu SMALL, including boat transport, NOK 895, - per guest (children 595, -) Small menu suitable for those who are "lunch hungry". This menu is a more informal form of serving than the traditional 5-course meal. It is served as a "sharing menu", and contains a rich selection of seafood in addition to sweets for dessert. Inspired by today's weather, the chef's mood, and seasonal seafood. Prepared with innovative cooking techniques and a genuine passion for seafood. At Cornelius, it is the quality of the raw materials that is in focus, and the menu changes daily according to the supply of raw materials.

Meteorological menu LARGE, including boat transport, NOK 1095, - per guest (children 595, -) Are you very hungry? Then we recommend going for the BIG menu. This menu is a more informal form of serving than the traditional 5-course meal. It is served as a "sharing menu", and contains a rich selection of seafood in addition to a seasonal dessert. The large menu also includes tastings from our RAW bar. Inspired by today's weather, the chef's mood, and seasonal seafood. Prepared with innovative cooking techniques and a genuine passion for seafood. At Cornelius, it is the quality of the raw material that is in focus, and the menu changes daily according to the supply of raw materials.  Special needs: If you have any allergies or special needs we should know about, please specify this in the comments field when booking. Book at least 48 hours in advance for special needs.

Booking a table:  Click here to book a table (change language to English on the Cornelius website), the booking also includes transportation by boat out to the restaurant. Your email confirmation of a booked table is your ticket to the boat. Please bring the confirmation as proof of booking when boarding. If you have purchased a Bergen Card you are eligible for a discount, the valid Bergen Card must be displayed in the restaurant.
