Sivert Aarflot's thirst for knowledge was wide, from practical farming to theoretical astronomy. And this knowledge he would share and convey.

He worked as a teacher and policeman, and he founded a library, a publisher and the newspaper "Norsk Landboeblad". This newspaper is still published in Volda, now under the name "Møre".

In the Sivert Aarflot museum at Ekset in Volda, where he lived and run a printing company, you will be told the story of this innovative public informant.
