In May 2018, the second stage of the construction of Tasta skatepark was opened, and the skatepark is now complete. It has two lanes: a bowl lane that was completed in 2016 and a street lane that was completed in 2018. In addition, there is an outdoor area and a clubhouse with toilets, a kitchen with a kiosk, a meeting room and storage.
Norway's most beautiful skatepark?
Users of Tasta skatepark, which ‘everyone’ says is by far Norway's most beautiful facility and is one of Northern Europe's largest skateparks. Skate tracks and other outdoor areas cover 7,000 square metres. The first stage of construction is a 2,600 square metre skate track in the form of a deep bowl track. In addition, there are 2,050 square metres of other outdoor areas. The second stage of construction is 1,600 square metres of skate rinks (660 square metres under roof), other outdoor areas of 650 square metres and a clubhouse of 100 square metres.
The entire facility has a universal design and is made of concrete. Light poles and other metal are yellow and easily visible. Wooden noise walls have been erected with windows facing Gjerdeveien.
