Dalsfjorden

Surrounded by waterfalls and steep slopes, Dalsfjorden is a hidden gem on the coast of Vestland.

Dalsfjorden is a narrow arm of the fjord that stretches through the municipalities of Askvoll, Fjaler, and Sunnfjord. The fjord is a continuation of the Vilnesfjord and is a total of 43 kilometers long. At the bottom of the fjord, the mighty river Gaula flows out.

Dalsfjorden is surrounded by great hiking terrain. Here you can, among other things, visit Fossedalen, see the mighty Laukelandsfossen from a distance, or enjoy the spectacular panoramic view from Heileberget, 761 meters above the fjord.
