The car park has been established by the municipality in collaboration with Sandnes Harbour and Sandnes Tomteselskap and is located along the harbour promenade, close to the town hall. It is the perfect location if you want to explore Sandnes town or leave your car behind and take the train or bus to Stavanger, Egersund or other places in the region.
If you bring your own bicycle or rent a city bike, you have access to many cycle paths that take you to beautiful hiking areas along the fjord, the sea and the mountains.
Sandvedparken stretches 3.5 km along Storånå and is a beautiful park area with playgrounds, exercise equipment, a sand volleyball court, hiking trails, idyllic rest areas and Parkkaféen with its fantastic buns. It is a short distance to Langgata, Norway's longest shopping street, where you will find several exciting niche shops, cosy cafés and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of Vitenfabrikken, Sandnes Kulturhus, cinema, library, tourist office and several large shopping centres.

The motorhome parking area is intended for short-term parking (1-3 days). Therefore, other forms of camping or motorhome tents are not permitted.
- Disposable barbecues and bonfires are not permitted.
- We encourage you to install smoke detectors, gas detectors and CO detectors in your motorhome.
- Please be considerate of your neighbours: Quiet hours from 11 p.m.
- There are two fire extinguishers on site.
