When not in use for cultural programming, Tou’s spaces are available for private events, ensuring a sustainable and modern business model. However, Tou is a non-profit organisation, and all revenue is reinvested into creating more high-quality cultural experiences for the city’s residents. Learn more about Tou's spaces here.

In addition to producing and presenting art, Tou strives to create open meeting spaces for artists and the public. The food and drink venues are integral to this vision, complementing the cultural activities:

  • Fortou Takeaway
  • Øst Beer Bar
  • Ry

Stage 1, stage 2 and bar/terrace

Stage 1 is one of their most popular venues and has large windows that provide good natural light with an unbeatable view of the fjord. The ceiling height is a full eight metres, giving it an airy and spacious feel.

Maskinhallen (the Machine hall):

The machine hall was originally the building's boiler room and in many ways the main artery of the brewery when it was active. Most of the room's original appearance has been retained, with the improvements focussing on the technical facilities. The machine hall has an elongated bar, large stage and associated foyer, which works well as an entrance, welcome area and cloakroom.

  • Seated dining capacity: 140

Loftet (the Attic)

The Attic is located on the 5th floor and has a special atmosphere. The room was originally used as a grain drying room when the brewery was in production and is now one of their most popular rental areas. The magnificent ceiling structure and solid wood give the room character and are well-suited to more intimate settings.
