Fresh coastal experiences all year round
If you want to explore the coast in any season, Sunnhordland is the perfect destination. Here, scenic trails wind through heather-clad landscapes and rugged rocks, leading you all the way to the open sea. The region offers activities for all ages, from hiking to boat trips. Outside the summer season, you’ll have an even greater chance to experience nature in peace and quiet. Sunnhordland is waiting for you – all year round.
Kayaking
The unique coastal landscape is made for paddling, whether by canoe or kayak. Enjoy a მშვიდ paddle through the sheltered archipelago, or bring your kayak and explore some of the hundreds of islands in Fitjar and Bømlo. During high-pressure winter days, the sea is often calm and still. With the right equipment, you can enjoy a refreshing paddling experience that’s a little out of the ordinary.
