Coasteering is an all-in-one experience that treats the foreshore as an eco-adventure playground. It´s about rock-hopping, shore-scrambling, swell-riding, cave-exploring and, yes, cliff-jumping. But it´s as much about discovering our wildlife and coastline at close-quarters; an intimacy that walkers never experience.
Enjoy lazy summer days or watch a storm near by! With its beautiful silver sand, this 1,5 km long beach is one of Norway´s finest swimming beaches.
Finally, you have the time to take in some fabulous exhibitions. Sogn og Fjordane Art Museum has three floors packed full of expressions of lives lived. You’ll find activities for the whole family that you can experience, interpret and contemplate. At the Millstone Park Open Air Museum in Hyllestad, children can have a go at various activities such as archery, or hunting for the Millstone troll. Take a stroll along Måløy’s wonderful streets where you will find brilliant artworks that depict the coastal culture of Vågsøy. The Coastal Museum in Florø offers activities for children. There are historical exhibitions, an open-air museum and museum trail. In summer you can pet the kid goats on Brendøya island.
Day-trip cabins and the North Sea Trails are popular destinations for those not wanting to spend all day conquering the highest mountains but would rather have time to enjoy the landscapes with their loved ones.
