Bråsteinvatnet is a great place where you can swim, go hiking and fishing. If it is cold enough in the winter, the lake is suitable for skating. There is free fishing in some areas around the lake (the publically owned). It is permitted to fish for inland fish (except for eels who are protected) with a rod or hand line all year round.
It is otherwise well equipped with seating areas and a barbecue, so you could enjoy the whole day at the lake and swim, barbecue and relax with the whole family.
