The hike to Gjørøy Lighthouse takes you to the outer edge of Bulandet, through open and weather-exposed coastal landscape. The lighthouse stands 22 metres above sea level, marking the approach to the islands and offering wide views of the ocean, skerries and small islets. The route follows paths and open terrain and is graded as easy to moderate.
Close to the trail, you can also visit the large scallop shell - a distinctive landmark and popular photo spot in Bulandet. Along the way, you will experience the rich birdlife and coastal nature of the area. This is a rewarding hike for those looking for a short but varied walk, easily combined with exploring the island communities of Værlandet and Bulandet, as well as cycling, island hopping or other coastal experiences.
